When you start our program and move to the floor from the basics course you will receive your "Kit" which includes everything you will need in your progression through school. The kit you receive includes , shears, blow dryers, combs, ect. This is not a cheap kit and is made up of quality tools to help you learn your new trade. We believe you need quality tools to do quality work and we strive to provide you with just that. Quality!
Cosmetology: Headmasters offers a full cosmetology curriculum. From the first day of training, students experience hands on education. In all schools you will learn the basics of cutting and styling hair. Headmasters goes the extra mile in training students in the latest of coloring products and techniques. We use the full line of Paul Mitchel color including the latest ShinesXG, Backtrack and made just for men taught by Paul Mitchel educators who visit our school on a regular basis. Students also learn the latest techniques in chemical relaxing and hair smoothing. Beach waves the newest texturizing design service is also included as well as perming all types of hair and using design wraps to customize your work.
We included a full nail course that will qualify you to take the separate nail technology exam to gain licensing in Washington. You will learn different types of manicures and pedicures including spa. The course also covers acrylic and gel nails and the new gel polish. Students express their creativity through beautiful nail art and use of glitter. We use OPI nail products, one of our industry best known nail care product lines.
There is also skin care and make up included in the curriculum. Headmasters has a private facial room where you will practice the different types of facials including dermabrasion and high frequency. You will also be trained in different types of waxes used for hair removal. We use the Pharmaceutical skin care line called Pharmagel, a high quality professional skin care line.
We are proud of our 100% passing rate at State Board Exams and have had a history of 100% for many years. We will also assist you in registering for boards. To prepare all of our students for the boards exam we train you how to pack your kit and have you complete a Mock board exam to mimic what you will face at boards. Our instructors have received training from DLRoope, the company that conducts the exams so you can be assured you are receiving the best instruction possible.
We go the extra mile by including Milady Business Fundamentals. During business fundamentals you will study the traits of success and create your own personal plan for success. We will give you the training you need to work smarter not harder by understanding the money end of the business, designed to help you get out of your own way on the road to success.
Teacher Training: This curriculum is designed for Licensed Registered Cosmetologists who want to share their passion for the industry with future stylists. You are already licensed so this program covers helping students reach their full potential. You will learn about what makes an educator great. We cover lesson planning, class presentation, student evaluation, learning styles classroom management and much more. You will prepare and present classes for both theory and practical skills. If you want a fun and rewarding way to stay on top of the industry, a career teaching is for you.
